Brentwood Evening Toastmasters

Meeting Notes

Tuesday, September 13, 2011

Toastmaster for the evening – Don Kovach

Opening:

Michael Moryc opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. Rachel then welcomed and introduced the guests.

Club News:

Next level of humorous speech contest will be held in downtown Franklin on September 24th at location TBD. New TI leadership manuals have arrived for BET officers.

Mike Costa reminded members that the deadline for club membership dues is next meeting, Sept. 27th.

Toastmasters International has increased their six-month and annual dues beginning this membership period. However, BET is fiscally sound and is not raising our six-month club rate. Those who pay for a full year will receive a discount on the club rate for the second six-month period.

6-month membership (Sep 2011 thru Mar 2012)

TI dues $36.00; BET dues $12.00 = Total $48.00

1-year membership (Sep 2011 thru Aug 2012)

TI dues $72.00; BET dues $18.00 = Total $90.00

Make checks payable to Brentwood Evening Toastmasters (for either $48 or $90). Please bring your payment to the Sept. 27 meeting or mail it to Treasurer, Mike Costa.

The cricket social is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 17 from 12:30 to 4pm.
