on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays of each month.

(BET is not affiliated with the church and is open to any and all individuals interested in self-improvement and effective communication. Through the open generosity of the church BET is able to hold meetings in one of its classrooms.)

Toastmaster for the evening – Michael Moryc


Opening:
Rachel Sumner, BET president, opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. She then welcomed our guests.

Club News:
Rachel congratulated and presented several members with the following award designations:
Mike Costa – Advanced Communicator Silver (completed 30 speeches)
Don Kovach – Advanced Communicator Bronze (completed 20 speeches)
Janet Schreibman -- Competent Communicator (completed 10 speeches)

Rachel then read the mission of Toastmasters International. She announced that the
next meeting will be a humorous speech and evaluation contest. Andrew Payne is contest chair and is seeking presenters and helpers. Please contact him if you would like to participate or access the meeting agenda to select a role at: http://easy-speak.org/portal.php

Meeting attendees wished fellow member Tim Diehl a happy birthday. All were invited to gather for social time at Chili’s after adjournment in Tim’s honor.

Toastmaster for the evening – Irma Perry


Manuel Glaze called the meeting to order and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance, then turned the gavel over to Irma Perry, toastmaster for the evening.

Club News:
Tonight’s meeting was a Speech-a-thon which departed from the typical agenda. For the first time, the club used the easy-Speak website to create and post the agenda. We briefly discussed the capabilities of the easy-Speak online meeting agenda. Manuel Glaze presided over the meeting in Rachel Sumner’s absence.
