International Speech & Table Topics Contest
Contest master for the evening – Richard Naslund



Opening:
Chris Meador opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance, then turned the gavel over to BET President Rachel Sumner.

Club News:
Rachel welcomed Don Bittick, Toastmasters District Governor, our guest judge, Claire Karas, as well as other BET guests. Rachel also announced that the club has a new member.

Irma updated us regarding the upcoming launch of our free 8-week Youth Leadership Program for middle and high school students, beginning February 19. There are still a few slots available if you know any age appropriate students who are interested in participating.

Club officers and Richard Naslund attended the District Leadership Training on Feb. 7th. We are seeking members interested in accepting an officer role for the coming year. If you are interested in being a club officer, please contact a current officer to discuss your area of interest.

Contest:
Prior to beginning the contest, Richard explained the purpose of the table topics and speaking competition and the timing qualifications.
