on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays of each month.

Toastmaster for the evening – Keith McLusky

Opening:

Manuel opened the meeting and led the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Club News:

President Manuel Glaze confirmed rollout of the Toastmasters International’s new branding project on August 17th. The club is planning a Cricket Social to watch Srimanth’s team compete on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 to 2pm. Rain date is Sept. 17th. Toastmasters International announced that BET recently earned the “Founder’s Award” and “Beat the Clock Award” for adding 5 new members in May and June. The club needs participants for the evaluator’s contest on August 30th. District conference will be held in Gatlinburg.

Tim shared a story about a duck hunter and farmer arguing over the rightful owner of the duck just shot on the farmer’s land.

Toastmaster for the evening – Brian Clinch

Opening:

Ann West led us in the pledge of Allegiance.

Club News:

President Manuel Glaze reported on a recent officers’ meeting and reminded the club that the re-branding will be out August 17th. Wireless internet is available for us at the church. Muhammad Sabir is offering to video any member who wants his/her speech videoed. Our club is planning a Cricket Social on September 10th to watch Srimanth’s team compete. Rain date is Sept. 17th.
