Toastmaster for the evening – Sri Brindavanam

Opening:
Chris Meador opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance, then turned the gavel over to BET President Rachel Sumner.

Club News:
Rachel announced and welcomed our newest member, Lysa Rigo, then introduced our two guests. Due to our recent flux of new members, BET has received TI's “Sapling Award” recognition. Rachel stated that she attended the Fall Conference along with several other members. She showed the club a District 63 Hall of Fame manual and invited members to browse it after the meeting, noting that BET is mentioned in it numerous times.

BET club officers held a planning meeting earlier in the month and discussed several issues. We would like to schedule a holiday pot-luck party similar to last year. The membership overwhelmingly preferred to have the event at the church during one of our regularly scheduled meetings. The date agreed upon is Nov. 27th.  A sign-up sheet will be available at future meetings to coordinate what members bring.
