Toastmaster for the evening – Marc Smith

Opening:
Rachel Sumner opened the meeting in our usual meeting space, the Good News classroom of Forest Hills UMC, and led the group in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Club News:
Immediate Past President Rachel Sumner acted as presiding officer since other officers were attending TLI leadership training across town at Caterpillar International.

Congratulations to Don Kovach on achieving his Advanced Communicator Silver! Rachel presented Don with his new name tag bearing this designation.

Our next meeting will not be our conventional meeting format. There is a Humorist Speech Contest on September 10, as well as an Evaluation Contest. Also, following our meeting is an informal get-together at Chili's. Guests are still welcome to join us for the meeting as well as dinner afterward!

Dues are due! Mike Costa is collecting dues – 6 months for $48 or 12 months for $84. Please pay your dues before the end of September.
