Meeting Notes
Tuesday, July 30, 2013
Toastmaster for the evening – Dasie Schulz

Opening:
Richard Naslund opened the meeting in our temporary meeting space, then turned the gavel over to BET President Mark Bayless.

Club News:
Pending confirmation, we are anticipating that our next meeting (August 13, 2013) will be held in our original meeting space – the Good News classroom of Forest Hills UMC.

BET holds regular meetings on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month, and on months with a 5th Tuesday, we have a non-traditional meeting format. Tonight's meeting is a SPEECHATHON with five prepared speeches & evaluations on the agenda, and no Table Topics, Word of the Day, or Joke.

The Toastmasters International Annual Business Meeting will be held August 24th in Cincinnati, Ohio. All clubs are invited to vote for international officers and directors to the 2013-14 Board of Directors, as well as proposed amendments to the constitution & bylaws. If no delegate from our club will be attending, we can either designate any particular active member to act as our proxy, or our district 63 governor Kristi Coleman (or the next senior district officer in attendance).
