Toastmaster for the evening – Mike Costa
Opening:

Becton opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. He
then introduced Manuel Glaze, BET president.
Club News:
Congratulations
to BET member Mike Costa who won second place in the Division Table Topics
Contest in Murfreesboro at Holiday Inn Express on March 31st. Next, Manuel
recognized Len Serafino, winner of the Division speech contest who will be
advancing to the District competition later in the week, April 13-15, in
Chattanooga. Len will deliver his speech to BET members again tonight for
additional practice.
Manuel then welcomed
and introduced all guests. Members were reminded that dues are now payable to
Mike Costa, BET treasurer. Before adjourning the meeting, the club inducted new
members Len Serafino; JT Fanning and Derrick Becton.
