Toastmaster for the evening – Keith McLusky
Opening:
Manuel opened the meeting and led the attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance.
Club News:
President Manuel Glaze confirmed rollout of the Toastmasters International’s new branding project on August 17th. The club is planning a Cricket Social to watch Srimanth’s team compete on Saturday, Sept. 10 from 9 to 2pm. Rain date is Sept. 17th. Toastmasters International announced that BET recently earned the “Founder’s Award” and “Beat the Clock Award” for adding 5 new members in May and June. The club needs participants for the evaluator’s contest on August 30th. District conference will be held in Gatlinburg.
