BET Officers Meeting Minutes

October 17, 2023

Presiding Officer:

The following topics were discussed:

1)  Officers reviewed progress on our Distinguished Club plan thus far:

·                 *    We need three more level 1s

·                 *    Dues were paid on time

·                *     New officer designations were reported on time

·                 *    We had 4 officers attend TLI

 

 2) We have 13 paid members currently. Mike will email those who are unpaid to remind them to renew their membership.

3)   Bill suggested all established members have a “buddy” to help motivate them progress in their pathway development. We want to also ensure all new members are assigned a mentor.

4)   It was agreed that the meeting for Oct. 31 (Halloween) will be canceled.

5)   Kristen, as Membership VP, will introduce our guests at the beginning of each meeting.

6)   Bill will create member “business/contact cards” for club to distribute as appropriate.

7)   To allow more member participation, we can separate Word, Ah Counter and Grammarian roles; we can also assign a member to open each meeting.
