Opening:

Michael Moryc opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance, then introduced BET President Manuel Glaze.

Club News:

Manuel invited officers and members to attend the upcoming Leadership Conference in Goodlettsville at Dollar General on Dec. 3rd. He announced the potluck holiday party at the church for the following meeting on November 29th. Members were encouraged to bring a dish of choice.

Manuel welcomed our visitors, including our Area 40 Governor Ellen Blix who is a member of the HCA Artful Articulators club. He also extended congratulations to Don Kovach, who placed second in the division’s Humorist Speech contest, and to Dasie Schulz who earned an Advanced Leadership bronze designation.

Toastmaster for the evening – Skip Malone

Opening:

Lynn Wallace opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance. He then turned the gavel over to Manuel Glaze.

Club News:

After Manuel welcomed our new guest, he announced that Don Kovach won the Area 40 Humorous Speech contest and will next attend the District competition in Gatlinburg. Allan Daniels will also attend.

Competent Communicator awards were then presented to members Sri Brindavanam, Manuel Glaze and Don Kovach…followed by the induction of new members Lynn Wallace, Leon Darghosian, Mark Bayless and Iris Schultz. Manuel concluded by encouraging all members to attend the next meeting since our Area Governor plans to join us.

After Iris Schultz opened the meeting and led attendees in the Pledge of Allegiance, she turned the gavel over to Manuel Glaze.

Club News:

Manuel announced the exciting results of the Area 40 Humorist Speech and Evaluator Contest. BET members Don Kovach (humorous speech) and Mike Costa (evaluator) won in their respective categories. Lynn Blake also won for humorous speech in her other club area. Next, all will attend the division contest level.
