Meetings are from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm

on the 2nd, 4th, and 5th Tuesdays of each month.

(BET is not affiliated with the church and is open to any and all individuals interested in self-improvement and effective communication. Through the open generosity of the church BET is able to hold meetings in one of its classrooms.)

Toastmaster for the evening: Dasie Schulz


OPENING
Sergeant at Arms, Manuel Glaze, opened the meeting and lead the club in the Pledge of Allegiance.

President, Suzanne Harrison welcomed everyone to the meeting and introduced the Toastmaster for the Evening, Dasie Schulz.

WORD OF THE DAY

Janet Schreibman introduced the word of the day, Synesthesia, and challenged fellow Toastmasters to use the word throughout the evening.

Synesthesia - a sensation produced in one modality when a stimulus is applied to another modality, as when the hearing of a certain sound induces the visualization of a certain color


HUMOR

Michael Moryc shared a humorous anecdote about a man who was extremely thrifty and couldn't risk the loss of $10.


TABLE TOPICS

Michael Moryc lead the club in Table Topics as Tables Topics Master for the evening, selecting three table topics speakers and challenging them as follows:

CLOSING

President Suzanne Harrison lead club members in the induction of three new club members: Geoff Lewie, Autumn Kerrigan, and Don Kovach.

Michael announced that the latest ediction of the BET Buzz had been published and urged all club members to share stories and news about what is going on in their lives and any accomplishments or adventures they have.

The club will pay the enrollment fee for any member of B.E.T. who wishes to attend Toastmasters Leadership Institute (TLI). The following sessions will be held on January 29th and February 10th. Please contact Suzzanne Harrison or Rachel Sumner for details or to enroll!
